At the very end of 2017, the new Coordinating body for the development of bicycle touring in Croatia website, registered at cikloturizam.hr, has been launched, offering information on international cycling routes in Croatia, biking events and many other topics.

The establishment of the Coordinating body for the development of bicycle touring in Croatia led to the accession of Croatia to the European cyclists’ federation (ECF), holder of the EuroVelo project, network of European cycling routes connecting Eu countries.

Four of those routes pass through Croatia: EV6 Danube route, EV8 Mediterranean route, EV9 Baltic-Adriatic and EV13 Iron Curtain Trail.

Istria is included in two European routes:
» EuroVelo 8: Mediterranean cycling route
» EuroVelo 9: Baltic - Adriatic route or Amber cycling route
