Three Michelin stars for Croatia
A new guide for Croatia by the most significant and recognised restaurant guide, was recently published on the Viamichelin.co.uk website, confirming last year's first Croatian and Istrian Michelin star awarded to Rovinj’s Monte restaurant and brought new surprises too!
Šibenik’s Pelegrini restaurant and Dubrovnik’s 360º both received a precious Michelin star, while the list of restaurants with Michelin recommendations, those marked with a spoon and fork, was enriched with 24 new eating houses. This was the result of a completely secret restaurant tour carried out by professional Michelin inspectors who visited restaurants throughout Croatia in 2017.
Istrian leaders Wine Vault, Damir & Ornella, Zigante, Konoba Čok, Marina, Sv. Nikola, Meneghetti, Pergola, San Rocco, Konoba Morgan, Alla Beccaccia and Batelina also confirmed their last year's entry among the recommended restaurants, with Konoba Buščina and Badi joining them this year with the MICHELIN Guide 2018 label.
With this year's selection, Croatia has a total of three restaurants starred with one star and 55 restaurants with Michelin recommendation.
The inclusion of new restaurants in the Michelin selection is a powerful incentive for further continuous improvement of the local gastronomic scene as well as of the great global promotion of Croatia as a top gourmet destination.
