Another good performance with a high quality product. Cossetto is an interesting farm in Krasica, founded about ten years ago by Marijan Cossetto. It has a 3-hectare specialized olive grove with 750 trees. In the last harvest 80 quintals of olives were produced, equal to a yield of almost 10 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil. We recommend the farm selection, the Extra Virgin Cossetto - Frantoio, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour. Its aroma is ample and rotund, rich in elegant vegetal hints of artichoke, wild chicory, lettuce and a distinct sweet almond finish. Its taste is definite and complex, characterized by hints of fresh country vegetables, together with aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. Bitterness and pungency are present and harmonic, with evident sweetness. It would be ideal on bruschette with vegetables, lentil salads, marinated perch, tomatoes stuffed with rice, ovoli mushroom soups, risotto with artichokes, barbecued fish, salmon tartare, baked poultry or lamb, goat cheese.
