Istria is brimming with stories we do not wish to forget. These tales can be shared through various forms of art—narrated, displayed, even felt in every imaginable way.

For those unfamiliar with the speech of the Labin area, "šćorice" are short, humorous tales about historical or imaginary events or people. These are oral traditions about folk beliefs, passed down from generation to generation on the Istrian peninsula.

The Šćorice Festival safeguards these stories of our homeland, unfolding throughout the old town center of Pićan, in its squares, alleys, and several taverns within the historic core.
