The Basilica of St.Andrew

The basilica in Betiga, left of the road between the village and the new tourist village, is dedicated to St. Andrew. Only some parts of the wall and the shrine are what was left from the basilica, including a stone trefoil and a floor mosaic (about a hundred square meters) which used to cover some 25 meters in length. After that there was a Benedictine monastery there until the 13th century when the plague came to this area.
