Sounds of the Streets Music - Cubismo

Cubismo is a band that plays energetic dance music based on Afro-Cuban rhythms but with its unique and recognizable style led by the brilliant percussionist Hrvoje Rupčić. The band members come from Croatia, Venezuela, Cuba, and Slovenia, and they are the foremost group playing this type of music in this part of Europe.

Throughout their career, Cubismo has collaborated with many local and international music stars, but their greatest strength lies in their concerts and live performances, during which they regularly infuse the audience with a huge amount of positive energy radiating from the stage. Joyful, danceable notes and a team of nine top-notch professionals have extensively demonstrated their ability to create a grand and festive Latin American "fiesta."

The album "Motivo Cubano" was recorded in Cuba with members of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, while on the album "Viva la Habana," Yolanda Duke participated, who was a singer in Tito Puente's orchestra at the time. Among Croatian musicians, Cubismo has featured many great voices on their albums and concerts such as Josipa Lisac, Gibonni, Gabi Novak, Stjepan "Jimmy" Stanić, Oliver Dragojević, and many others, as well as musicians from broader areas like Vlada Divljan from Idoli, the Kočani Orchestra from Macedonia, and the "king" of Romani music Šaban Bajramović. They have always been proud of their "multi-culti" concept, which they believe significantly contributes to expanding musical and human perspectives.

Cubismo is known for its high musical quality and the skill of its members, and it is regularly awarded with professional awards such as the Porin and the Status.
