From scratch to matrix

The graphic artistry of the renowned Croatian painter and graphic artist Marijan Detoni is showcased through his iconic linocuts from People from the Seine (1934), one of the most significant graphic portfolios in Croatian interwar art. Also featured is the rarely seen linocut portfolio Rails (1941).
Detoni's masterful technique in graphic art captures the harsh realities of life during the economic crisis, portraying scenes of the dismissed, the hungry, and the unemployed, alongside evocative depictions of travel and hardship.

The exhibition spaces Sveta Srca, Galerija C8, and Galerija Amfiteatar are equipped with an elevator/ramp for disabled individuals, providing access to all areas.
