The Basilica of St. Foska (Barbariga)
Beside the old Roman road below the village of Batvači there is the Church of Saint Foška (6th -7th century). The basilica was built from two parts: from a narrow and ascetically shadowy church with three naves divided with short pillars and an ethereal lodge which was a sanctuary for many pilgrims coming from all over. The shrine is adorned by valuable wall paintings from the 12th century, some of the oldest ones in Istria.
