The World of Malvasia is an international Malvasia competition that has been taking place in Poreč since 2009. Wines are evaluated according to the strict provisions of the competition rules harmonised with the provisions of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).

The announcement of the winners and the awarding of medals to the world's best Malvasia is held as part of the Vinistra, international wine exhibition, the most respectable regional wine event.
