Everything is set for Istria’s premier performance at London’s wine event of the year: on Saturday, November 16, at the prestigious Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, 16 award-winning Istrian wines will be presented.

At this renowned wine event organized by Decanter magazine, wine enthusiasts, restaurateurs, hoteliers, sommeliers, and oenologists will have the chance to taste some of the world’s finest wines. In addition to the Grand Tasting, numerous masterclasses led by seasoned wine experts will be held.

The presentation of Istrian wines is organized by the Vinistra Association in partnership with the Istria Tourist Board.

Our debut at the prestigious Decanter Wine Encounter in London is a powerful testament to our commitment to promoting the authentic spirit of Istrian wines, woven together with our region's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and world-class hospitality. Engaging with true wine enthusiasts from across the globe places Istria proudly on the world’s wine map, highlighting our passion for preserving tradition and creating new, unforgettable experiences for visitors," said Denis Ivošević, Director of the Istria Tourist Board, on the occasion of this debut. 

Promotion of Istrian authenticity and passion
Luka Rossi, president of the Vinistra Association, highlighted the significance of Istria’s first appearance at the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, marking a historic debut for a Croatian wine region. 

“For over 30 years, we have been promoting our indigenous grape varieties, so in London, our spotlight is on Malvazija istarska, Teran, and Muškat momjanski and their unique styles. Participation of Vinistra in the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter continues our thriving collaboration with Decanter, with whom we organized the Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase in Croatia for the first time this June,” said the Vinistra president.
