Handball national team’s camp in Poreč
The Croatian men's handball national team is preparing for this year's World Championship in Poreč!
The IHF Men's World Championship in 2023 has been jointly organized by Sweden and Poland from January 11 to 29. Croatia is in Group G with the USA, Morocco and Egypt, with whom it starts the competition on January 13 in Jönköping.
As part of the final camp in Poreč, the Croatian Handball Association traditionally organizes the Croatia Cup, where guests from Israel and North Macedonia, who are also participating in the World Championship, will compete with the "Cowboys".
The Croatian handball players also completed the first round of sports camp throughout December in Poreč, with its permanent host, hotel company Valamar. The second part of the camp of the Croatian men's senior national team for the World Championship lasts until January 10, when the selection will be travelling to Gothenburg and Jönköping.
The World Handball Championship was held for the first time in 1938. Since 1954, it has been played regularly every four years, while since 1993, handball players compete every other year. This, the 28th edition of the IHF Men's World Championship in Sweden is certified as a sustainable event!
The Poreč Croatia Cup takes place in the Žatika sports hall from January 6 to 8, and all matches start at 8:15 p.m.
