The winery in Momjan, a Hollywood blockbuster backdrop

The Kabola estate in the scenes from The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

On the estate of the famous Kabola wine brand, Salma Hayek, Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds shot the scenes from the Hollywood blockbuster "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard", which is currently being shown in Croatian cinemas. After filming attractive action scenes in front of the beautiful Kabola stone house surrounded by vineyards, the actors enjoyed the peace and the view that stretches all the way to the sea and the Alps, and received Kabola Magnum Sparkling Re from the winery owner Marin Markežić to remember this magical place.

"I am extremely happy that the beauty of this place is increasingly recognized by the film industry. Except for this popular action comedy, 2Cellos also made a video on our estate, and the scenes from a Slovak movie were shot here as well this year. When The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard opened in cinemas, our guests called and sent us messages in excitement having recognized the house and the vineyards," says Markežić.

Salma Hayek was especially delighted with the beauties of Croatia, she fell in love with our country at first sight, and shared several photos from the shooting two years ago on her Instagram profile that were seen by millions of her fans.
The filming in Istria, Rijeka and Zagreb two years ago lasted for more than two weeks, so Salma Hayek was joined by her whole family. She spent her Easter holidays in Istria with her husband and daughter, they visited Brijuni and Pula, and looked for truffles in the Istrian forests.
