Deklić

The tradition of winemaking and viticulture in the Deklić family from the village of Ferenci near Vižinada has lasted for over 100 years. Despite changing governments and systems, this hardworking family has diligently developed their estate, which today houses one of the most modern wineries in Istria. The family winery is currently managed by brothers David and Dino, along with their sister Lucija, supported by their father Marino and their energetic grandfather Konstantin. The Deklić family cultivates more than 20 hectares of vineyards planted in red soil, all located around Vižinada. The predominant grape varieties are the indigenous Istrian Malvasia and Teran. They are present on the market with around ten wine labels divided into several lines, for which they have already received numerous awards both nationally and internationally. Particularly noteworthy are the double champion titles for the young Teran and aged Malvasia won at the Vinistra 2024 wine exhibition. In the standard fresh line, Istrian Malvasia and Chardonnay dominate, along with the elegant Rose and Yellow Muscat. In the line of aged red wines, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Teran stand out. The pinnacle of their offerings is Familia, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Teran aged in wooden barrels. Deklić Familia is a wine that reflects the unity of the family and is dedicated to all its generations.
