Another film about Istria by American producer Michaela Guzy has won an award:

After securing silver at the Tourism Film Festival in Johannesburg, her second story about Istria is set to receive gold at the Adrian Awards in New York

Host and journalist Michaela Guzy is one of the leading business influencers and the visionary founder of OTPYM (Oh the People You Meet), a production company known for creating stories that captivate travel and food enthusiasts in search of authentic experiences. OTPYM’s 30-minute film "OH THE PEOPLE YOU MEET with Michaela Guzy in Istra, Croatia," earned the prestigious gold award and the title of "Best in Category"."

The HSMAI Adrian Awards, a prestigious award celebrating 68 years of recognizing marketing excellence in the travel industry, honours the most innovative and impactful campaigns. This year’s awards ceremony is set to take place on February 18, 2025, in New York.

Upon hearing the news of the award, Guzy expressed her heartfelt gratitude, highlighting the honour of having their work recognized. She emphasized the significance of documenting destinations through conversations with locals, forging meaningful connections during their journey through Istria.

Michaela Guzy visited Istria in 2023, where she created her first film about Istria for the acclaimed series "Sleeping Around Safely". The film went on to win the prestigious silver award in the Travel &Tourism category at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa 2024.
