The football pitch of 40 by 20 meters was installed at the magnificent amphitheatre of Pula for the tournament that took place between the generations of 1990 and 2000 from FC Bayern München and the team Kranjčar and team Srebrić who represented the generations of „Vatreni“ – the official Croatian national football team. The program was complemented with the battles of gladiators of the „Spectacula Gladiatoria“, that the ancient Romans used to organize in the amphitheatre.

The tournament was exciting until the end, and the victory was taken by the FC Bayern München, generation of 1990, the oldest team, proving that “once a sportsman, always a sportsman”. More than two thousand visitors could cheer the brave modern age gladiators and take a photo with their favourite players. The fact that the spectacle was successful proves the numerous audience that gathered and enjoyed the three hours of football spectacle in, historical ambiance with amazing atmosphere. The cooperation with FC Bayern München, the strategic partner of the Istrian Tourist Board shows that it is very successful and attractive for the local audience as well as for the tourists from Germany and other countries that will have as a result in the future, the big promotion of Istria at European level.
